Hi, I’m Emma Krygsman.
Many people come to therapy feeling unsure where to begin, knowing something isn’t working but not quite sure how to move forward. I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel stuck in familiar patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety or self-doubt, or impacted by past experiences and larger systems. Our work creates space for reflection and meaningful change, exploring experiences within personal, relational, and cultural contexts while clarifying values, strengths, and the life you want to live. Therapy becomes a place to reconnect with yourself and move forward authentically.
I offer compassionate, collaborative, relationship-centered therapy focused on helping you feel seen, heard, and understood. I take time to truly know you and create a safe space to explore challenges and unhelpful patterns. My integrative, evidence-based approach is tailored to you and moves at a supportive, sustainable pace.
You don’t have to navigate this work alone. Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and it’s okay to take your time. I would be honored to walk alongside you offering support, curiosity, and care as you move through this process and toward meaningful, lasting change. I looking forward to hearing from you :)
Services
-
Individual therapy is one-on-one counseling between a client and a therapist. It provides a private space to explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life challenges. Clients can work on personal goals such as managing anxiety, improving relationships, building coping skills, or navigating major life transitions.
-
Couples therapy focuses on helping two or more partners improve their relationship. The therapist works with all individuals in the relationship to strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection. It can be helpful for dating, engaged, or married couples.
-
Family therapy involves multiple family members working together with a therapist to improve relationships and address patterns that may be causing stress or conflict. The focus is often on communication, understanding roles within the family, and supporting one another more effectively.
-
Group therapy brings together several individuals who share similar concerns or goals. Led by a therapist, group members support one another, practice new skills, and gain insight from shared experiences. It can reduce feelings of isolation and provide a sense of community.

Getting Started with Emma
-
I offer a complimentary 15 minute phone call. This is an opportunity for us to discuss scheduling and logistics, review policies, and begin brief introduction to therapeutic process. This is also a time for you to share what you are wanting out of therapy.
-
If it feels like a good fit, I will send over some intake paper. This is a brief questionnaire to get essential information from you and the informed consent.
Please take your time to review all of my practice policies and let me know if you have any questions! All paperwork needs to be completed prior to the start of first session.
You will also receive a prompt to put your credit card on file. I require all clients to have a card on file. You will be billed the evening after our completed session!
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you in person or online?
I offer therapy either via secure Telehealth from the comfort of your home or in person at my cozy Seattle office. I work with clients located in Washington state.
How often will we meet?
Everyone's therapeutic journey is different, and the length and frequency of our work together will depend on your individual needs and goals. I typically recommend meeting weekly or bi-weekly for the first month or two. This allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship, explore your goals, and create meaningful momentum on how to create lasting changing. As you begin to feel more grounded in the work, you may choose to move to a different cadence.
How do I get started?
You can reach out through my contact form or email me at emma@lagomcounseling.com to schedule a consultation. We’ll briefly discuss what you’re looking for and determine whether we’re a good fit. If so, we’ll schedule your first appointment.
How long are your sessions?
Individual sessions are primarily 53 minutes in length. I also offer:
30-minute sessions
90-minute sessions
120-minute sessions
Group sessions are 60 minutes long.
Do you take insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider and can provide superbills for possible reimbursement of your session costs. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which can significantly expand your options when choosing your clinician.
Below are some questions you can ask your insurance provider:
Does my plan include out-of-network coverage for mental health?
What is my annual deductible for mental health benefits?
What is my co-insurance (what percentage does the plan cover)?
Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered per year?
What is your session rate?
$160 for a 53-minute session
$90 for a 30-minute session
$270 for a 90-minute session
$360 for a 120-minute session
How long will I be in therapy?
My goal is to provide support for as long as you need — because no two therapy journeys look the same. Every person comes in with different experiences, goals, timelines, and needs. Some clients arrive with a specific focus and complete therapy within a shorter period of time. Others find value in a longer-term therapeutic relationship that allows for deeper exploration and ongoing support.
There is no “right” length of time to be in therapy. It can shift and evolve alongside your life. I have clients who take breaks and return when circumstances change, new challenges arise, or they simply want to reconnect and share a life update.
Whatever your path looks like, it is yours and you are always welcome back.
